UNEMPLOYED GRADUATE

An unemployed graduate woke up one morning and checked his pocket. All he had left was $10. He decided to use it to buy food and then wait for death as he was too proud to go begging. He was frustrated as he could find no job, and nobody was ready to help him.

He bought food and as he sat down to eat, an old man and two little children came along and asked him to help them with food as they had not eaten for almost a week. He
looked at them. They were so lean that he could see their bones coming out. Their eyes had gone into the socket. With the last bit of compassion he had, he gave them the food. The old man and children prayed that God would bless and prosper him and then gave him a very old coin. The young graduate said to them 'you need the prayer more than I do'.

With no money, no job, no food, the young graduate went under the bridge to rest and wait for death. As he was about to sleep, he saw an old newspaper on the ground. He picked it up, and suddenly he saw an advertisement for people with old coins to come to a certain address.

He decided to go there with the old coin the old man gave him. On getting to the place, he gave the proprietor the coin. The proprietor screamed, brought out a big book and showed the young graduate a photograph. This same old coin was worth 3 million dollars. The young graduate was overjoyed as the proprietor gave him a bank draft for 3 million dollars within an hour. He collected the Bank Draft and went in search of the old man and little children.

By the time he got to where he left them eating, they had gone. He asked the owner of the canteen if he knew them. He said no but they left a note for you. He quickly opened the note thinking it would lead him to find them.

This is what the note said: 'You gave us your all and we have rewarded you back with the coin,' signed God 1 Kings 17:10-16; Matthew 11:28-30

The Affect Of Plastic Bags On Our Environment

It’s hard to say when we began to turn into obsessive consumers but nobody can doubt that we are just that. At least most of us! A direct result of this is heavy dependence on plastic bags. From USA to Africa, from Asia to Australia, everybody is guilty of using them at some point in their lives. What does this mean for the environment?

First of all, a plastic bag can take up to 500 years to break down and decompose. The irony here is that we usually use a bag just once and then toss it in the garbage. So it’s no surprise that the number of plastic bags used around the world in a day is tremendously high. A recent study estimates that in a year, as much as a trillion bags are consumed worldwide. This translates into considerable landfill and pollution. Not all bags end up in a landfill, however. Some enter rivers, sewers and even seas. They block waterways and drainages and create more pollution issues.

In the oceans, plastic bags float and mislead turtles and other marine animals that swallow them as food. Some marine biologists think that plastic bags seem like jellyfish, an appetizer, to some marine life. These bags can even drift far away into the doldrums, where many of the floating junk accumulates and may create new water pollution problems in the near future.

Plastic bags are thin and light which means they are easily carried by the wind. They are easily blown around and get caught on trees, littering gardens and parks. Not only is this unsightly but it can kill small animals such as insects and birds. Plastic bags seem harmless enough to an adult human but they can suffocate unsuspecting animals and even babies.

Can plastic bags be burnt and got rid of that way? It’s possible yes, but impractical because of the greenhouse gases that are emitted in the process. These gases play a direct role in global warming. In fact, even the production process of plastic bags releases such toxic gases that remain in the atmosphere for a considerable time.

So next time you pick up a plastic bag, thinking it’s so convenient, light and cheap, think again. The true cost of the plastic bag you are holding is staggering and the weight of this burden is shared by all of us.

How To Quit Smoking Forever Tips, Tricks And Advice

How many times have you attempted to stop smoking but have failed to do so? Yes I thought so – not good is it? No doubt – like many of the people who read this article I tried, and failed, numerous times to quit smoking before eventually managing to find a top quality stop smoking technique that worked for me.

I would manage to stop smoking for one week, two weeks and on one attempt even managed as many as three weeks before falling off the wagon, as they say or is this saying solely in relation to alcohol? Well who cares at the end of the day? I am sure you understand what I mean.

I would then have a voice in my head, what I call “my demons”, who would speak to me and would say something along the lines of:"You are doing really well, why don’t you have just
one cigarette for old times sake? You deserve it. It is only one, it does not mean that you are going back to become a fully fledged smoker.”

Now I have no idea why but for someone reason I would listen to this voice and would have that “one” cigarette. The problem being that one would lead to two and two would lead to three etc.So how did I eventually learn to stop smoking? Well a friend of mine, Tony, advised that I needed to focus on two things at the same time, not just quitting the fags. He stated that when you just concentrate on attempting to stop smoking your whole focus and thought process is always on “smoking”.

He suggested that I should attempt to lose weight at the same time, this way I could be battling two fronts at the same time and would be therefore not just solely thinking of cigarettes all of the time.

Is It God’s Will To Be Wealthy?

Attracting wealth has nothing to do with education, status, talent, environment, intellectual ability, physical prowess, or geography. ANYONE, regardless of their background or circumstances, can attract wealth into their lives.

For many years I separated wealth from the “Christian” lifestyle. Somehow I thought that living a godly life meant living a life without material wealth. It wasn’t until someone showed me in the Bible that it was the will of God for ALL of his children to be prosperous and healthy. There is nothing in the Bible that says we must live in poverty to be right with God. We are right with God because of the finished works of Jesus Christ.

In the Bible in John 10: 10, Jesus says, “I am come that you might have life and that you might have it MORE than abundant.” If Jesus spoke the truth then this life must be available for all those who are willing to believe it.

The Science Of Getting Rich By Wallace D. Wattles Published in 1910 has changed the lives of many people. The following is taken from chapter 1 of this timeless masterpiece.

“WHATEVER may be said in praise of poverty, the fact remains that it is not possible to live a really complete or successful life unless one is rich. No man can rise to his greatest possible height in talent or soul development unless he has plenty of money; for to unfold the soul and to develop talent he must have many things to use, and he cannot have these things unless he has money to buy them with.

Man's right to life means his right to have the free and unrestricted use of all the things which may be necessary to his fullest mental, spiritual, and physical unfoldment; or, in other words, his right to be rich. No man ought to be satisfied with a little if he is capable of using and enjoying more. The purpose of Nature is the advancement and unfoldment of life; and every man should have all that can contribute to the power; elegance, beauty, and richness of life; to be content with less is sinful.

There is nothing wrong in wanting to get rich. The desire for riches is really the desire for a richer, fuller, and more abundant life; and that desire is praise worthy. The man who does not desire to live more abundantly is abnormal, and so the man who does not desire to have money enough to buy all he wants is abnormal.

There are three motives for which we live; we live for the body, we live for the mind, we live for the soul. No one of these is better or holier than the other; all are alike desirable, and no one of the three -- body, mind, or soul -- can live fully if either of the others is cut short of full life and expression. It is not right or noble to live only for the soul and deny mind or body; and it is wrong to live for the intellect and deny body or soul.

Man cannot live fully in body without good food, comfortable clothing, and warm shelter; and without freedom from excessive toil. Rest and recreation are also necessary to his physical life. He cannot live fully in mind without books and time to study them, without opportunity for travel and observation, or without intellectual companionship.

To live fully in mind he must have intellectual recreations, and must surround himself with all the objects of art and beauty he is capable of using and appreciating. To live fully in soul, man must have love; and love is denied expression by poverty.

A man's highest happiness is found in the bestowal of benefits on those he loves; love finds its most natural and spontaneous expression in giving. The man who has nothing to give cannot fill his place as a husband or father, as a citizen, or as a man. It is in the use of material things that a man finds full life for his body, develops his mind, and unfolds his soul. It is therefore of supreme importance to him that he should be rich.

It is perfectly right that you should desire to be rich; if you are a normal man or woman you cannot help doing so. It is perfectly right that you should give your best attention to the Science of Getting Rich, for it is the noblest and most necessary of all studies. If you neglect this study, you are derelict in your duty to yourself, to God and humanity; for you can render to God and humanity no greater service than to make the most of yourself.”

The Science of Getting Rich is your key to the prosperity that is rightly yours. It will change your life. If you are willing to believe the words of Jesus Christ, you will discover an exciting new reality. You can learn the fundamental principles of wealth creation and life success. Noise Pollution Is The Real Poison Of Our Planet

Even if the title is deliberately forced and in an opposite trend, noise pollution is for real one of the greatest trouble of modern civilization. In fact, the actual society ferment foresees always open construction sites, airports with more and more traffic, crowded nightclubs and overall an increasing heavy industrialization, all these phenomenon put under big pressure the eardrums of almost 50 million people just in Italy (source: World Health Organization).

How is it possible to reduce this kind of pollution? Very often to solve this problem committees dedicated to this problem arise in every city, but unfortunately regulations and legislation in this sector are still undeveloped and the various interpretations are very different from one another.

But what does it practically mean noise pollution and what are the complications that it can cause to the human body?

To this purpose, this kind of pollution can easily be compared to the most classical spoil of the urban and natural habitat by mankind and by his efforts in modifying the natural environment he lives in. When the damage is caused by a protracted and excessive exposition to high intensity noises, the pollution threshold level is of course surpassed.

Every time the pollution threshold level is surpassed, the noise can generate some very serious physical and mental problems such as: deafness and other auditory illnesses, but also the stress level grows and by consequence also the hypertension.

As we said before, noise pollution is mainly caused by construction sites, airports, traffic and air traffic, but also and in particular by factories. This is just why all these activities have always been decentralized from the rural life and located at the city boundaries. Unfortunately or maybe fortunately, it depends from which side you are looking at this trouble, population keeps increasing in number but without any kind of structured development. This would require some kind of territorial and spatial development plan for the city that also lacks natural resources. These two problems summoned together lead up to the maximum exploitation of the areas surrounding these noise sources (and so also pollution sources). The main causes of noise pollution in Italy are construction sites, airports, traffic and factories.

It is just keeping in mind this last and fundamental detail that we all need to work together in order to limit at most every type of high intensity noise emission. This can be possible just investing on the research and development sector and equipping heavy industry factories, for example, with soundproofing cabins where machines that utter strong noises can be all contained.

Also some kind of air treatment turn out to be fundamental, because is a real natural soundproofing system, for all these reasons it is very important to study and project the best possible air treating systems in order to silently convey air fluxes and this way exploit every isolating characteristics of this natural elements.

It is also fundamental, then, for every enterprise and civil house, the use of soundproof materials to apply on houses and factories’ walls, this allows the external noise not coming into our houses and in the meanwhile limiting the emissions outside of the domestic or industrial noise pollution.
